Our Vision is simple, to serve others as Christ served us. We ask that you save the dates, June 6-8, when we will participate with area churches in organized acts of compassion throughout Franklin and Milwaukee. We will then culminate with a church picnic in the afternoon on June 8th to share experiences and enjoy fellowship with each other. Compassion Weekend started June, 2007 when 200 members of Southbrook Church (2/3 of our church body) served our neighbors at 19 different locations throughout Franklin and Milwaukee. Starting on Friday, June 6th and continuing through the morning of Sunday, June 8th, there will be formal and informal service activities for you, your family, friends, and neighbors to participate in. From washing cars, to singing at a nursing home, to passing out water bottles to strangers, we want to engage in service and extend God's love in a practical way. Since we will be serving the community on Sunday morning, there will be no traditional worship service on June 8th.
